Karyn Kuhl is the former singer/songwriter/guitarist of Sexpod.
Known for their majestic live performances, Sexpod released a single Venus(Queenie Records) and an ep Home(Go-Kart Records). Their full-length recording Goddess Blues(Slab/BMG) was produced by Fred Maher(Patti Smith) and mixed by John Agnello(Mathew Sweet). Sexpod later toured with Joan Jett and Iggy Pop. KK is currently mesmerizing NYC audiences with a solo project. Her power and versatility as a songwriter and singer shine through whether she performs alone or with a band.

Cigarette Songs is KK’s latest recording. This is the first full-length recording of KK’s solo work. On Cigarette Songs, produced by Super Buddha, KK returns to the heavier rock sound of her past without sacrificing the vocally driven, melodic and atmospheric elements explored in recent material.
